Merry Christmas and reflections on 2018

As we approach the end of 2018, we’ve been looking back and reflecting on the year and of course, planning for the year ahead.

New clients, more praise and more apps developed

This year, we’ve been working very closely with our customers to help them maximise the benefits of Evoke. In the New Year, we will be announcing some new customers and discussing how they’re using Evoke. Here’s some of the feedback we’ve received so far:

Michael Heeney, Owner of Groware, one of Canada’s leading providers of software for the grower and nursery markets, said: “Evoke was, without a doubt, the most fun I’ve had programming for years.”

David Jordan, CEO of software company Enterruptors said, “As a FinTech, we must deliver rapid, cost effect and rich functionality to meet the demanding expectations of our clients. Evoke is an outstanding solution that helps us to meet the demands we face.”

New Global distribution agreements

This Autumn we signed a number of new distribution agreements. These included a partnership with Uniware in Australia and New Zealand, and Ashwood Computer in the USA – hotly followed by a deal with South African distributor Axiz in November who will introduce Evoke to customers in South Africa and other African markets.  We look forward to working with our new partners in these exciting markets and welcoming many new customers next year.

Industry recognition at Zumapalooza

Another highlight for Bluefinity was being invited to speak at Zumapalooza in Las Vegas.  Zumapalooza is ‘the’ technical education conference of the year and our Company Director Simon Theobald presented his keynote speech on: “The Future of Creating Full Function Mainstream Mobile Business apps for all Multi-Value and SQL Applications.”

Evoke is the only mainstream low code app development tool which can source data from both multi-value databases and SQL within the same app, and the presentation was well received.

New features for app developers

To round off the year, we introduced some new advanced features for Evoke developers, including chatbot, signature panel, the ability to print straight from the app, improved development control, improved layout changes and improved calculated field abilities.

What’s next for Evoke?

Global demand for mobile apps looks set to continue.  Analyst firm App Annie estimates the global app economy will be worth $6.3 trillion by 2021.

We’re confident that 2019 looks bright. It only remains for us all at Bluefinity to wish our customers, followers and friends a Merry Christmas and an ‘appy’ New Year!
